📅 Ritual Timing for 2026
The ritual is performed on the first day of the first lunar month.
Date: Night of February 16 to February 17, 2026 (Tuesday).
Exact Start:01:40 AM (Local time on your clock).
Preparation: It is recommended to begin setting up at 11:00 PM (February 16).
Due to energetic conflicts with the day's elements in 2026, participation is not recommended for those born in the Years of:

📦 Ritual Essentials
Prepare a special altar. Try to gather as much as possible from this list, but remember: your sincerity is paramount.
Image or Figurine: Cai Shen Ye (often depicted riding a tiger and holding a gold ingot).
Offerings (Treats):
3 types of pastries (cakes, cookies).
5 types of fresh fruit (oranges, bananas, pineapples, pears, etc.).
6 vegetarian dishes (stews, salads, mushrooms — no meat!).
Drinks: 5 cups of green tea and 5 glasses of white wine (or sake).
Candles & Incense: Minimum of 8 pieces (18 is auspicious).
Wealth Attributes: Your wallet, real cash, jewelry, gold ingots, "money mats."
Wish Forms: Red or gold paper to write down your material requests.
Ritual Money: Ancestor money or imitation currency for burning.
📝 Step-by-Step Ritual Plan
1. Purification and Preparation
Perform a deep clean of your home in advance (do not clean on New Year's Day itself, as it "washes away" luck).
Take a shower before the ritual to wash away the negativity of the past year.
Wear new or clean festive clothing (preferably with yellow, gold, or red elements).
2. Creating the Altar
Wipe the table with a damp cloth and cover it with a beautiful red or gold tablecloth.
Arrange the offerings, light the candles, and burn the incense.
3. Inviting the God of Wealth
Open a window to let the energy flow into your home.
Face South and invite the God of Wealth aloud three times. State your full name and exact address. You may use mantras or speak from the heart.
Mantras: "Noble Cai Shen Ye, God of Wealth and Abundance, I [Your Name] residing at [Your Address], open my heart and my home to you. I respectfully invite you to enter this space. May your golden presence fill my life with prosperity, may my paths be cleared of obstacles, and may your blessings secure my family’s well-being throughout 2026. Welcome, God of Wealth! Welcome! Welcome!"
4. Working with Your Intentions
Write down up to 8 clear and specific material desires on your wish forms.
Meditate for 10–15 minutes, visualizing that your goals have already been achieved.
Go outside (or to your balcony/entrance) and burn the wish forms and ritual money. Scatter the ashes in the wind. If you have a paper image of the God from last year, burn it now as well.
⚠️ Essential Post-Ritual Rules
Offerings for the Spirits: Leave the food on the table for 24 hours. Do not eat it! Reclaiming the food is seen as taking back your gift and spoiling your luck. After 24 hours, give the food to birds or remove it from the house.
Talismans: Any money or jewelry left on the altar becomes a powerful artifact. Place them in your wallet or safe for the rest of the year.
The God's Place: After 24 hours, move the figure to a place of honor. It should be elevated (not in a closet or pantry) and keep the same orientation (back to the South).
